Eastern Gomoa bank launches new product

Gomoa Ekwamkrom, C/R, June 18, GNA- The Eastern Gomoa Assin Rural Bank with its headquarters at Gomoa Dominase, in the Central Region has launched new product to support businessmen in the area to expand their businesses.

Mr Mobashir Ibrahim, General Manager of the bank who disclosed this to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview on Thursday at Ekwamkrom in the Central Region, said the product has been designed to help businessmen in the area who do not have access to credit facility.

He noted that the bank would soon commence credit facility for businessmen, and advised them to take advantage of it and expand their businesses.

He said already the bank has launched a product known as micro-finance and micro trading for women traders operating in the area.

Mr Ibrahim noted that under the micro trading and micro finance programme, the bank has granted about 2.3 billion cedis to 90 women groups to improve their trading activities. He said payment of the credit facility was being done on daily basis, adding that each woman received between one million cedis and 1.5 million cedis.

The Manager advised women traders who had benefited from the DANIDA micro finance program to pay back for others to enjoy the scheme.
