Dr. Evans Nunoo, an economist and financial analyst, has challenged President John Dramani Mahama to hit the ground running and relieve the Ghanaian populace from economic challenges.
According to him, despite the challenges facing the country, the president has no excuse not to deliver on his promises or revive the country to a better position.
Speaking in an interview on Oyerepa TV on January 8, 2024, he explained that Ghanaians will hold the president accountable for his promises; hence, he needs to consult and work for the betterment of the country.
“The saying that there are challenges in the country, cannot be used as an excuse in any way because we all know that there are difficulties in the country. So, if he is drawing our attention to it that there are difficulties, fine, but we don’t want him to use that as an excuse that he didn’t begin on a good note because of economic challenges.
“So, he has people that are in Parliament and those that have worked with him before, so he shouldn’t have any excuse at all. He has only four years, and they should hit the ground,” he said.
