President of Groupe Nduom, Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom has charged those in authority, particularly government to encourage business owners in the country and also create an enabling environment for the private sector to thrive.
This according to Dr. Nduom in his May Day message, would give the urge to “job creators” to do more so many more people can be employed”.
He urged those in positions of authority, government and those who are in regulatory positions of all types, to note that “May Day is not just a day for resting” but a day to think about ways to encourage the Ghanaian worker and entrepreneur.
He also wished all workers well and urged them to take the jobs that they do as their own, and be productive so as to earn good salaries and enjoy their pensions when they retire.
Dr. Nduom’s May Day Message
I want to wish all Ghanaian workers a very fulfilling May Day this year. You know in Ghana we talk about jobs, we talk about earnings, we talk about pension, we talk about so many different things and yet we do the kind of things that don’t encourage all of that to prosper.
So here is to hope, that this year those in positions of authority, those in government, those who are in regulatory positions of all types, those who are supposed to encourage particularly the ones in the public sector encourage businesses to thrive and do well so we can employ more people. I want them to think that May Day is not just a day for resting. It is a day for them to think through how they are going to encourage the men and women who create jobs to do more so many more people can be employed.
I am also wishing the workers well and encouraging them to also take the jobs that they have to be their own to do the best that they can so that they can earn not just a good pay but that they can also earn a good pension so that life after working can be a happy one.
So here is wishing you a wonderful May Day but then lets also make every day a Workers Day - for the worker, for management, for the owners, for everybody so that our life can be not just productive can be fruitful, but indeed a very happy one. Enjoy your day.
Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom
