Engen continues to increase its oil market share

Engen Ghana Limited, an affiliate of Engen Petroleum South Africa, a petroleum company, continues to make strong presence and grow its share of the oil market, with the inauguration of its Bodede Service Station near Mampongteng in the Kwabre East District.

It comes with a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) service unit, state-of-the-art fuel pump shelter, fuel pump stands and a stand-by generator to ensure 24-hour services to the public

Mr. Agbeko Lotsu, the Retail and Property Development Officer, said good customer care and quality service were a top priority of the company.

Engen believes in value for money and that is why it is synonymous with quality petroleum products.

It had been operating in the country for over a decade and he said, its vision was to become the oil company of choice in sub-Saharan Africa and the Indian Ocean Islands.

He said theirs was not only to make money but to assist create jobs and to live up its corporate social responsibility to the people through the construction of education infrastructure and health facilities among other things.

He said they were proud of their products - Engen’s Dynamic Diesel and Primax, which were increasingly becoming popular with many Ghanaian motorists.

Mr. Lotsu pointed out that the new Station, strategically sited on the Kumasi-Mampong-Ejura road would provide useful services to motorists, using that road corridor.

He reminded the workers to be more polite and said customer satisfaction should be the watch word.

Mr. Amoako Tuffour, an official at the newly opened Service Station, pledged to put premium on safety.

Mr. Henry Akwaboah, the Station’s Manager, said its range of lubricants were environmentally-friendly and consistent with both the American Petroleum Institute and the Ghana Standards Authority’s, specifications.

He said in conformity with the local content policy of the government, 70 per cent of Engen’s lubricants were blended at the Tema Lube Oil Company Limited.
