Accra, Oct. 4, GNA - Enterprise Insurance Company (EIC) kept the Accra bourses alive on Tuesday with its 165-cedi gain that pushed up the main stock index.
The Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) All-Share Index went up by 0.33 points to end trading at 4,878.64 points from 4,878.31 points on Monday. Change for the year-to-date improved slightly at -28.24 per cent. EIC, which has edged up consistently, gained 165 cedis at 6,200. Fan Milk Limited rose by three cedis at 15,608 cedis and Patterson Zochonis was one cedi better at 6,408 cedis.
Shares that changed hands were better at 40,700 from 30,400. Market capitalisation went up at 92,134.05 billion cedis from 92,129.90 billion cedis from 3,393.18 million issued shares.
