Euroget De-Invest s. a. which entered into several contracts and agreements with the Ministry of Health (MoH) and the Ministry of Defense (MoD) on behalf of the Republic of Ghana for the Finance, Design, construct and with full equipment for the nine (9) hospitals is progressing rapidly. Interestingly, the contractors are working round the clock to complete the Wa and Salaga hospitals before the end of 2014.
For the other hospitals, the design and engineering (specifications and drawings) coupled with the site clearing and survey are far advanced and the international and local contractors will begin work before the end of 2013. When completed, the nine (9) hospitals will have a total capacity of 1,310 beds plus 245 units staff accommodation.
The modern techniques adopted by Euroget De-Invest for the construction of these ultra-modern hospitals will in no doubt translate into knowledge transfer to the Ghanaian local contractors.
The project has also created new employment opportunities for the local indigenes. For example, since the beginning of 2013, the company till now has employed over 50 professionals working in its Accra head office plus 300 workers in the site including subcontractors and also indirectly provided employment for those engaged in the construction industry.
The nine (9) hospitals will create at least 1, 800 employment post for Ghanaians during 2014 to 2016.
