FAGE elects new leaders

Accra, July 6, GNA - The Federation of Associations of Ghanaian Exporters (FAGE) has elected Mr Anthony Sikpa, an exporter and a former vice president of the association as the new president for the Federation for the next three years.

Mr Sikpa takes over from Nana Yeaboa Kodie Asare II, Executive Chairman of Kiku Group of Companies, who had been the president since the establishment of the Federation in 1992.

A statement issued in Accra on Monday by FAGE and signed by its Chief Executive Officer, Augustine Adongo, said the election took place during the first meeting of the second Executive Council of the association held in Accra on Thursday June 24, 2004.

It said the 13-member Executive Council also elected Mrs Marjorie Abdeen, Managing Director of Jack and Jill Wear House Limited, as the first vice president and Mr F.Q. Ayeh of Zuricon Limited, as second vice president.
