Fanteakwa to construct markets for cattle, goats and sheep

The Fanteakwah District Assembly is to construct markets for selling of cattle, goats and sheep at Ahomahomasu, Dedeso and Ehiamenkyene.

This is to support the development of commercial farming of cattle, goats and sheep in the District.

This was made known by the District Chief Executive of Fanteakwa, Mr Abass Fuseini Sbaabe, when the Eastern Regional Minister, Mr Antwi-Boasiako Sekyere visited Ahomahomasu as part of his tour of the Fanteakwa District.

Begorohene and Benkumhene of the Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Area, Osabarima Awuah Kotoko II, appealed to the Eastern Regional Minister to help rehabilitate the deplorable road network in the district.

He suggested that the award of the contract should be based on merit and not on political affiliation.

He pleaded with the banks to reduce their high interest rate to support the growth of small and medium scale enterprises.

The Eastern Regional Minister, Mr Antwi-Bosiako, expressed his appreciation for the development of the district and promised to see to the rehabilitation of the road network in the district.
