Fidelity rolls-out another 1kg 24-Karat Gold Bar for customers

Accra, Aug. 26, GNA – Ghana’s best customer care bank, Fidelity Bank, is rolling-out its second 24-Karat Gold Bar promotion now dubbed: “Reach for Gold” from September 1st this year for clients at a market value of GH¢120,000.

The promotion, christened “Go for Gold” last year, is designed this year by Fidelity to model its campaign of promoting excellence in all endeavours of life, with the 2012 Olympics to encourage Ghanaians to strive for Gold in all they do.

Last year the value of the 1GK 24-Karat Gold was GH¢100,000 and was won by Eric Nii Yarboi-Mensah, a customer at the Fidelity Ridge Tower Branch.

Fidelity Bank Managing Director Edward Effah said based on the 2010 successful campaign for the “Go for Gold”, the bank attracted over 41,000 new customers, hence the decision to take promotion to next level – “Reach for Gold”.

He said first prize winners of the world acclaimed Olympics were given gold medals to symbolize the highest honour in all sports, and “in line with the Olympics we will be promoting excellence in sports, in education, in community participation and in entrepreneurship throughout.”

The promotion is open to holders of current and savings account, who deposit and maintain a minimum of GH¢300 or multiples thereof for at least one month, to qualify for a coupon to enter respective monthly draw and also in the grand draw slated for March 2012.

Existing account holders are to top up and maintain minimum of GH¢300 or multiples thereof for month to qualify for a coupon in the six-month promotion – the first five months will be the monthly draws and the last month will be the grand draw.

Announcing the detail prizes at stake, Mr Onesimo J. Makumba, Fidelity Consumer Banking Director, said for the grand draw: the first prize will be the 1kilogram 24-Karat Gold Bar valued at GH¢120,000.00; second prize will be a trip for two to London 2012 Olympics with spending money.

The third and fourth prizes will be a trip to a destination of choice in Africa with spending money; a trip to a destination of choice in Ghana with spending money respectively; whilst the fifth to the 10th prize winners will each receive a Gold Coin worth GH¢1000.00.

The Monthly draw on the other hand, will give a Gold Coin worth GH¢300.00; GH¢2000 and GH¢100 for the first, second and third prize winners respectively. The fourth to the 10th prize winners will each receive Fidelity branded items.

“This year the bank expects to attract not less than 60,000 new customers with the ‘Reach for Gold’ promotion,” Makumba told the Ghana News Agency after the Press Launch of the promotion in Accra.

“Fidelity is real and serious and will continue to bring banking closer and closer to Ghanaians.”

The 2010 “Go for Gold” winner, Mr Eric Nii Yarboi Mensah, whose image on billboards has been displayed at many vantage points in Accra, shared his experiences with the bank over the years, saying Fidelity is a place to be for clients to feel real customer-friendly banking.

He said his life had tremendously been transformed ever since and urged customers to save with the Bank because it was real and true.
