The Finatrade Group of Companies on Tuesday donated a quantity of items to two municipal assemblies in Greater Accra Region towards the forthcoming farmers' day.
The items that are made up of ; wheel barrows, cutlasses, wiring materials, sprayers, Wellington boots, pans among others valued at GH? 7,000.00 were donated to Ga East and Madina-Nkwantanang Assemblies.
Mr John Awuni Corporate Affairs Director of the Finatrade of Companies said the industrialisation of Ghana depends on the performance of farmers in the country, hence his company's decision to support them to blossom.
He said massive support to agriculture could turn Ghana's economy around and gave the assurance that his outfit would continue to support government along those lines to leverage agricultural production.
Mr Awuni said with the growth in agricultural sector, unemployment could also be reduced as it would encourage industrialisation which would subsequently demand strong human resources.
Nii Adjetey Kumah, Madina-Nkwantanang District Director of Agriculture on behalf of the Assemblies thanked Finatrade for the gesture for the past two years.
