First Allied Savings and Loans get Golden Award

Accra, Oct. 03, GNA -First Allied Savings and Loans, the leading savings and loans institution in Ghana has been presented a Gold Awards by the Ashanti Financial Savings Excellence Awards for their Excellence in the delivery of Financial Services in Ashanti. According to a press statement, this Award was the bank's fourth time to have been nominated in this category, having won in 2004, 2005 and 2006 consecutively.

Mr. P.Y.Amakye, Managing Director of the company in the statement said the company's successes were achieved through hard work and said even though they had won many awards in the past they were not complacent at all. Mr Amakye named the awards the company had won as; "The most innovative product/service award" in 2002 by the African Project Development facility of the World Bank, "The most outstanding savings and loans company in 2000 and 2001 by the Ashanti trade and technology and others.

He said, the company was coming out with a saving product which would be ranked as the best savings product in the country. He also said the bank was embarking on a calculated branch expansion programme to achieve a national presence and added that the next in line of the new First Allied branches were going to be in Mpraeso and Nkoranza both in the Eastern and Brong-Ahafo region respectively. He said the award would continue to prompt them to offer customers with excellent customer services and also maintain their cooperate responsibility to the country.
