The NDC candidate contesting in the Parliamentary bye- election of the Ablekuma Central Constituency, Mr. Ismail Safianu Bawa, the FRRE Press asserts, disappointed thousands of listeners and supporters of the party when he failed to turn up for a radio Gold show organised for contesting candidates last Wednesday.

The story headlined "Ablekuma, day of Great decision ... NDC Candidate Runs Away From Talk show" states that although the CP candidate Hajia Saraji was also absent, most callers were much concerned and totally disappointed by the absence of the NDC candidate who is widely seen as one of the major contenders in the race.

His failure to turn up is reported to have been no suprise to a majority of the callers who accuse him of being known for such behaviour. According to them, Mr. Bawa is averse to public programmes, as he is not eloquent especially in the English language. They further accused that his tenure as MP of the area from 1992 -1996 brought nothing beneficial to the constituency.
