Management of GCB Bank has inaugurated a new branch at Amasaman in the Ga West Municipality, as part of its re-branding programme.
Mr Samuel Sarpong, the Acting Managing Director of the GCB Bank, at a ceremony to formally open the branch, said the Amasaman Branch represented the next phase of the bank’s rebranding programme where all branches across the country would be re-modelled in addition to opening new ones.
“In some cases, the aim is to inject modernity into GCB branch ambience while improving the service delivery and comfort of our customers in particular and the public in general,” he said.
Mr Sarpong said as the nation’s economy expanded and brought with it opportunities for growth, the GCB Bank would expand its reach by providing modern banking branches to help fuel business activities.
He said the bank’s presence at Amasaman was in recognition of the key role the town and its environs were playing in the national economy.
“While it offers strategic residential habitation for individuals within close proximity to Accra, there is a business boom which requires professional and experience banking services to thrive and GCB is here and ready to provide that,” he said.
Located near the Puma Filling Station, the new branch offers all GCB Bank’s services including 24 hour personal loan for salaried workers and electronic banking products for customers as well as ATMs and Debit cards.
The rest are the facilitation of international-inward remittances, corporate banking and domestic money transfer services.
Mrs Doris Wunu, the Head of Consumer Banking, said since its birth in 1953, GCB Bank had contributed towards the socio-economic development of the country and pledged that it would continue to provide better banking services to the public.
She said it was the ultimate goal of GCB Bank in the next four years to remodel the branches to ensure customer satisfaction.
She appealed to the public to effectively dialogue with management through the bank‘s information service outlets in order to improve customer satisfaction in service delivery.
Mr Sam AtukweiQuaye, the Municipal Chief Executive of Ga West, commended GCB Bank for extending its services to the community and called for an effective partnership between the bank and the municipality to contribute to the growth of the local economy.
Mr Daniel Tetteh, the Branch Manager, in an interview with the Ghana News Agency, gave the assurance that staff of the new branch would work hard to serve customers better.
“With hard work, we hope to translate all our services into goodwill and enhance the corporate image of the bank,” he said.
In attendance was NiiOsekuAmasa, the Chief of Amasaman.
