GCB extends Saturday banking services

Accra, Nov. 30, GNA - Ghana Commercial Bank Limited (GCB) has extended its Saturday banking services to six branches in four regions as part of the Bank's efforts to provide convenient, accessible and comfortable banking services for the people. This brings to 21 the number of branches engaged in Saturday banking business.

A statement issued by the Public Relations Department of the Bank said branches that had just started Saturday Banking were Accra New Town and Tantra Hill branch (formerly Dome) in the Greater Accra, Nkawkaw in the Eastern Region, Bawku and Bolgatanga in the Upper East Region and Wa in the Upper West Region.

They operate from 0900 hours to 1300 hours. The Bank commenced Saturday banking in January at 15 branches, mostly at market centres.

The statement said the expansion of GCB's Saturday Banking was in response to "new business opportunities and the need to satisfy customers at the selected branches and areas". It was also aimed at improving access for GCB's customers and prospective customers, it added.
