GCB to hold AGM on March 28

Accra, March 7, GNA - The Ghana Commercial Bank Limited would hold its 12th Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, March 28 to consider the accounts for the year ended 31st December, 2005 and reports of the Directors and Auditors.

The agenda includes authorising the Directors to determine the fees of the Auditors to take advantage of tax amnesty granted by the Revenue Agencies Governing Board and to approve transfer of up to 100 billion cedis from Income Surplus Account to Stated Capital Account. An official statement issued in Accra and signed by Helen Addo, Secretary, said the AGM to be held at the Accra International Conference Centre would enable shareholders to consider and approve the remuneration of Directors, re-elect Directors retiring by rotation and approve the remuneration of Directors.

The AGM would also declare dividend and ratify the appointment of a Director by way of re-election.
