The recent challenges confronting the Ayensu Starch Factory have taken a toll on the company’s major client, Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited.
The factory has an agreement with the GGBL to supply it with starch.
Workers of the Factory last year embarked on a sit-down strike to demand an increment in salaries.
Although they have called off the strike, work appears to have slowed down at the factory.
Marketing Director for GGBL, Kweku Sekyi Cann told Starr News the company is putting in place measures to cement its relationship with the factory to enable it deliver the right quantity of raw materials to the company.
“At the end of the day, if all things had been good, production on our side would have been better, but corporate relations team is working hand-in-hand with the ministry as well as management and workers of Ayensu starch, and we believe that progress is being made in terms of the relationship that the workers have with their own establishment and with us”, he added.
