Ghana Standards Authority, GSA, is to roll out a programme called Easy Pass which is a strategy that will allow importers to have their goods examined outside Ghana before arriving in the country.

The programme which begins on the first of next month is to facilitate clearance at the Ports and to ensure that sub-standard goods do not enter the country.

Speaking to GBC’s Radio Ghana, Director of Corporate Communication of GSA, Dr. Kofi Amponsah-Bediako, however said it is optional.

On companies accredited to do the examination, Dr. Amponsah Bediako said the agencies can be found in major cities and towns in countries such as United States of America and Germany.
