GSE All-Share Index begins the week marginally higher

Accra, Jan. 19, GNA - The GSE All-Share Index, the benchmark index of the Accra bourse, on Monday began the week with a 0.06-point gain in quiet trading that saw only two weak price changes.

The Index closed trading at 5,009.64 points from 5,009.58 points on Friday.

There were two price changes, both positive. ECOBANK Ghana went up by two cedis at 13,546 cedis while Aluworks was one cedi better at 7,252 cedis.

Total shares traded slumped to 46,200 from Friday's 1,226,600 shares when Ghana Commercial Bank sold 1,119,200 shares. Change for the year to date remained at 0.07 per cent.

Market capitalization closed higher at 112,517.79 billion cedis from Friday's 112,517.43 billion cedis.
