GSE All-Share Index in impressive gain

Accra, Feb. 15, GNA - The GSE All-Share Index, the benchmark indicator of the Accra bourse, on Friday rose significantly by 12.25 points with the enlistment of a new equity topping gainers. The Index rose from 6,855.67 points on Thursday to close at 6,867.92 points on Friday, while traded volumes jumped to 8,723,500 shares from 242,400 shares. Aryton Drug Manufacturing Limited sold 8,615,600 shares on the day.

Change year to date went up to 4.06 per cent. On the broader market there were three gainers; Golden Star Resources Limited, which started trading on Friday was 0.10 GH cedis richer at 3.10 GH cedis, CAL Bank Limited and Ayrton Drugs Manufacturing Limited both gained 0.02 GH Cedis each to close at 0.62 and 0.12 GH cedis respectively.

Market capitalisation went up at 13,339.78 million GH cedis from 12,602.52 million on Thursday.
