GSE All-Share index continues slow rise

Accra, May 18, GNA - The GSE All-Share index, the benchmark measure of the Accra bourse, continued its slow rise in another dull trading on Friday.

The index closed 1.21 points higher at 5,165.09 points at 5,163.88 points.

Total shares traded closed the session lower at 62,700 from Thursday's 71,700 shares. Change for was better at 3.18 per cent from 3.15 per cent. On the broader market, there were six price changes, all positive. Stanchart led the way with 380 cedis gain at 180,500 cedis. Ecobank Ghana Limited and Enterprise Insurance Company gained two cedis each at 14,252 cedis and 9,425 cedis respectively while Fan Milk Limited, SG-SSB and Total made one cedi each at 19,306 cedis, 7,002 cedis and 54,271 cedis respectively.

Market capitalization ended the session at 113,459.87 billion cedis from 113,452.63 billion cedis.
