GSE All-Share index up in healthy trading

Accra, March 29, GNA - The GSE All-Share index, the benchmark measure, edged up by 7.95 points in healthy trading on Thursday on the back of a good performance by Ghana Commercial Bank. The index closed at 5,090.24 points from 5,082.29 points on Wednesday.

Shares that changed hands climbed to 264,100 from 43,400 while change for the year was better at 1.68 per cent from 1.52 per cent. On the broader market, there were five price changes, all positive.

Ghana Commercial Bank jumped up by 250 cedis at 6,700 cedis, Ecobank made 24 cedis at 14,050 cedis, CAL Bank gained 10 cedis at 2,320 cedis, SG-SSB went up by five cedis cedis at 6,320 cedis and Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited inched up by one cedi at 9,535 cedis. Market capitalization closed higher at 113,001.53 billion cedis from 112,953.96 billion cedis.
