Accra, March 19, GNA - The Ghana Stock Exchange continued its steady climb on Wednesday with the benchmark index, the GSE-All Share Index gaining 5.97 points on the back of gains by four equities. The index rallied to close at 7,167.43 up from 7,161.46 points. Change year to date now stands at 8.60 per cent.
Traded volumes were up at 1.4 million compared to 1.2 million shares at the previous close, led by Ghana Oil Company, which sold over a million shares.
On the broader market, there were four positive price changes. Enterprise Insurance gained one cedi at 1.79 GH cedis, Fan Milk Limited was up 0.01 GH cedis to close 2.80 GH cedis, SG-SSB was 0.02 GH cedis richer at 1.48 GH cedis and Unilever went up 0.01 GH cedis at 2.31 GH cedis.
Market capitalisation rose to close the session at 13,529.94 million GH cedis from 13,526.01 million GH cedis.
