GSE Index in marginal gain

Accra, Feb. 13, GNA - After a slump in Trading on Monday, the GSE All-Share Index, the benchmark measure of the Accra bourse, recovered slightly on Tuesday albeit in a dull market.

The index, rallied to close 0.11 points higher at 5,025.44 points from 5,025.33 points buoyed by price gains of ECOBANK Ghana, Enterprise Insurance and SG-SSB.

Traded volumes fell to 27,400 shares from a high of 1,002,500 recorded on Monday.

Change for the year remained stuck at 0.39 per cent. Market capitalization was up marginally at 112,612.91 billion cedis from 112,612.22 billion cedis.

On the broader market there were four positive price changes. ECOBANK Ghana gained three cedis at 13,584 cedis; SG-SSB was one cedi better at 6,011 cedis; Enterprise Insurance also went up by one cedi at 8,851 cedis and Aluworks was higher by one cedi at 7,264 cedis.
