Accra, Sept. 15, GNA - Trading on the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) on Monday recorded a poor showing as the total shares traded were about six times lower than the previous close.
Total shares dropped significantly from Friday's close of 67,600 shares to 11,800 shares on Monday. The Produce Buying Company (PBC) sold 5,100 shares, the highest.
The All-Share Index, that is, the market gauge, shed 4.92 points from 2,612.34 points to close at 2,607.42 points on Monday. Three price changes were recorded; two negative and one positive. The only gainer, Ghana Brewery Limited (GBL) went up five cedis to close at 815 cedis.
Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB) lost 100 cedis to close at 7,400 cedis while Social Security Bank lost 34 cedis to close at 8,100 cedis. The change in year to date fixed at 86.87 per cent. Market capitalization declined 10,179.86 billion cedis from 10,192.27 billion cedis.
