GSE continues to inch up

Accra, Aug. 22, GNA - The GSE All-Share Index, the main market indicator, continued its modest appreciation on Monday with a rise of 0.37 points to end trading at 4,838.09 points from 4,837.72 points on Friday.

However, change for the year-to-date remained at -28.84 per cent. There were five positive price changes and no loser on the day. Fan Milk Limited (FML) was three cedis up at 15,015 cedis, Mobil Oil Ghana Limited gained eight cedis at 38,010 cedis, Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited appreciated by three cedis at 6,023 cedis, Patterson Zochonis rose by four cedis 6,405 cedis while SG-SSB went up by two cedis at 7,854 cedis.

Shares that changed hands slipped to 124,800 from 165,000 on Friday.

Market capitalisation was up at 91,991.79 billion cedis from 91,990.80 from 3,383.22 million issued shares.
