GSE index falls in dull trading

Accra, Aug. 8, GNA - The Ghana Stock Exchange fell again in dull trading on Monday with the All-Share Index, the main market indicator, going down by 20.22 points at 4,851.25 points, on a big loss of Ghana Commercial Bank.

Change for the year-to-date plunged further the red at -28.64 per cent.

There were four price changes - two either way. Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB) lost 500 cedis at 7,000 and Cocoa Products Company (CPC) also lost eight cedis at 600 cedis. SG-SSB gained 251 cedis at 7,801 cedis and Guinness Ghana Breweries inched up by one cedi at 6,001 cedis. Shares traded were down 115,100 shares from 226,100 shares on Friday.

Market capitalisation was up at 92,026.46 billion cedis from 91,875.92 billion cedis from 3,382.54 million issued shares.
