GSE index made marginal gain

Accra, July 5, GNA - The GSE All Share Index of the Accra bourse made marginal gain to open the week trading on Monday after dropping two consecutive times at previous sessions.

The index, which gained 3.61 points, rose to 7,048.90 points from 7,045.29 points to close Monday's trading.

Total shares that changed hands were 83,600 shares compared to the 19,900 shares last Friday.

On the broader market, five positive price changes were recorded. Mobil Oil Ghana Limited (MOGL), the highest gainer, made 99 cedis at 42,100 cedis, Enterprise Insurance Company (EIC) went up 50 cedis to close at 18,050 cedis; Guinness Ghana Limited (GGL) gained 49 cedis at 12,550 cedis; Unilever was up at 40 cedis to close at 22,700 cedis and Clydestone (CLYD) went up 10 cedis at 910 cedis.

Market capitalization was up at 96,968.67 billion cedis from 3,359.67 million issued shares compared to 96,959.43 billion cedis recorded to close trading last Friday.
