GSE opens trading week on active note

Accra, March 10, GNA - The Accra bourse GSE-All Share Index opens the week in an active session that saw over two million shares changed hands.

The index went up 5.75 points to close 7,060.69 points from 7,054.94 points.

Change year to date now stands at 6.98 per cent. Traded volumes closed higher at 2.7 million on the back of block sales in Ghana Commercial Bank, CAL Bank and Enterprise Insurance Company. There were four price changes - all positive. Benso Oil Palm Plantation gained GH¢0.01 at GH¢0.51, SG-SSB gained GH¢0.01 at GH¢1.39, Ecobank Ghana Limited was GH¢ 0.01 better at GH¢ 2.49 and Fan Milk Limited was up GH¢0.01 at GH¢ 1.77. Market capitalisation closed the session at GH¢ 13,642.89 million from GH¢ 13,459.31 on Friday.
