Accra, March 8, GNA - The poor performance of the Accra bourse continued in trading on Tuesday with another slide in the figures of the main indices of the bourse.
The Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE), the main stock index, took another beating, plummeting by 38.6 points to 6,642.04 as bearish sentiments continued to dominate.
Change for the year was also poorer at -2.30 per cent There were two price changes, both negative. The good run of Benso Oil Palm Plantation Limited ended with a 500 - cedi loss at 7,000 cedis while Standard Chartered Bank was 5,000 cedis poorer at 160,000 cedis.
Shares traded closed lower at 179,900 from 1.262 million on Friday. Market capitalisation was also down at 97,188.60 billion cedis.
