GSE slips on Aluworks loss

Accra, Feb. 16 GNA - The main benchmark of the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) slid on Wednesday on the loss of Aluworks in light trading. The GSE All-Share Index lost 3.59 points at 6,981.52 points from Monday's close of 6,855.11. Change for the year also slipped by 0.78 per cent.

Shares traded closed lower at 149,500 shares.

There were six price changes, five up and one down. Aluworks lost a whopping 650 cedis at 7,350 cedis.

Benso Oil Palm Plantation (BOPP) gained 260 cedis at 7,000 cedis, Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB) rose by eight cedis at 13,010 cedis Camelot was 100 cedis better at 1,200 cedis, CFAO rose by three cedis at 250 cedis, Patterson Zochonis appreciated by 200 cedis at 6,300 cedis. Market capitalisation closed lower at 97,760.47 billion cedis from 3,663.42 million issued shares.
