Bolgatanga, June 07, GNA - Ghana Telecom (GT) on Wednesday launched two new products, the "GT Easyfone" and "GT Easyfone Maxi", in Bolgatanga in the Upper East Region. The General Manager of GT in charge of Marketing and Communication, Mr Joseph Wireku, explained that the "GT-Easyfone" was a form of prepaid service on fixed lines.
Customers can make calls to any destination within the prepaid credit and is meant for residential and office use while the GT "Easyfone Maxi" is solely meant for business and communication centres. Mr Wireku said with the introduction of the new products, disputes over the company's bills by customers of GT would stop. Mr Wireku said with the system, one could easily monitor and control his consumption rate and also recharge his or her account. The Upper East Regional Manager of GT, Alhaji Awudu Joshua Musah, appealed to GT customers especially communication centres that had their lines disconnected as a result of non-payment of bills to negotiate with GT on the terms of payment to enable them to be reconnected. 07 June 06
