Accra, Oct 5, GNA - A 33-member German trade delegation on Tuesday arrived in Accra to explore business opportunities and establish trade links in Ghana.
The delegation, led by Mr Hans Meier Ewert, Secretary-general of Afrika-Verein, include engineers, bankers, pharmacists and industrialists representing private companies in Germany.
Speaking to newsmen at Kotoka International Airport, Mr Meier-Ewert said Afrika-Verein is a German business association for German companies and institutions with business interests in Africa.
For about hundred years now, the association has assisted its members by providing up-to-date business information and creating business links.
The delegation will meet representatives from the Ghana Chamber of Commerce, Ghana Investment Promotion Centre and the Private Enterprise Foundation to have an insight into the economy of Ghana.
It will also have one-on-one discussions with companies and businessmen on how to create joint ventures.
Mr Meier-Ewert said some of its members already have business links in the country and will further consolidate them while others will sign new contracts.
He was met on arrival by staff of the German embassy in Ghana.
