Ghana Airways Gets Two New Chief Executives

Information reaching the local FM station - JOY FM - indicates that two new Chief Executives have been appointed to head Ghana Airways. Sources close to the management of the airline told JOY FM that the Chief Pilot, Captain Fosu and the Head of Administration, Mr. Amonoo have been named as Chief Executives.

It is however unclear if the new appointments nullify that of the current Chief Executive, Phillip Owusu. JOY FM learnt that the Board Chairman of Ghana Airways, Dr. E.R.K Dwemoh has been meeting with President Kufuor over the airline.

The Managing Editor of the Independent newspaper Egbert Faibille who has been following developments at the airline’s headquarters told JOY FM that a decision appointing the two new Chief Executives was announced prior to a management meeting, which was apparently boycotted by the current Chief Executive, Mr. Owusu.

Mr Phillip Owusu could not confirm the report to JOY FM except to say he had also heard that such a decision had been taken.
