Ghana Commercial Bank expands branch networks

Accra, July 11, GNA - Ghana Commercial Bank Limited (GCB) has opened two more branches in Tema and Sampa in the Greater Accra and Brong Ahafo Regions respectively. The Safebond Branch is located on the Tema Community Two Harbour Road, near the container terminal, while the Sampa Branch is in the Jaman North District.

A statement from the Bank's Public Relations Department said the opening of the two branches brings to 141 the number of GCB branches nationwide and 10 agencies, all of which are on wide area network. The statement said the opening of the new branches was within the GCB's policy of making banking services more accessible and convenient to Ghanaians in all sectors of the economy. Apart from over-the-counter transactions, customers and non-customers can use the GCB Xpress Money Transfer to move funds across the country online. The new branches offer all GCB services including, GCB Xpress, Personal loans, GCB Fast International Money Transfer, GCB Moneygram Remittances, FODEM for Non-Resident Ghanaians, Trade Services and ATM services. GCB, with its 141 branches and 10 agencies which were all networked, remained Ghana's largest bank with a presence in all districts of the country, the statement added.
