As part of the fifth anniversary celebration of Entrepreneurs Foundation of Ghana, the foundation is organizing Ghana International Business Network (GIBN) breakfast meeting for Ghanaian top entrepreneurs to interact, network and to do business with foreign investors and Diplomatic Corps in Ghana.
The event, slated for Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at the Alisa Hotel, Ridge. Accra, on the theme: “Enhancing Strategic Business Alliance between Domestic and Foreign Investors for Sustainable Economic Development”.
It is being organized by Entrepreneurs Foundation of Ghana, with support from Export Trade, Agricultural & Industrial Development Fund, GIHOC Distilleries and Ghana Business and Finance Magazine.
Ghana International Business Network is expected to attract over 100 guests made up of Hon.Dr.Ekwow Spio-Garbrah,Minister of Trade and Industry as the Guest of Honor,Dr.Micheal Agyekum Addo,Chairman,Ghana Investment Promotion, Nana Osei Bonsu,Chief Executive Officer,Private Enterprise Federation, Dr.Seth Adjei-Baah,President ,Ghana Chamber of Commerce and Industry,Ambassadors and High Commissioners from 15 Countries will address Ghanaian entrepreneurs on strategic business alliance opportunities.
GIBN 2015 is a platform for Ghanaian top entrepreneurs to interact, network and do business with foreign investors and Diplomatic Corps in Ghana. It is dedicated to developing sustainable strategic business alliance and investment priorities to enhance domestic and international business partnerships and also create new opportunities.
A statement issued by Mr Sam Ato Gaisie, Founder & President of Entrepreneurs Foundation in Accra and copied to Ghanaweb quoted “We are placing an explicit focus on creating new international and domestic business-to-business relationships and commercial openings for small, medium and large Ghanaian companies. The business network will connect Ghanaian businesses into international markets, bringing together the entrepreneurial minds and the best business opportunities”.
The statement added that one of GIBN’s 2015 prime objectives is to foster new business relationships and opportunities that may in time lead to direct commercial trade and investment outcomes for Ghana and international companies of all sizes, across all sectors. The global competition is increasing day by day, so to improve productivity and market share strategic alliances are made which benefit firms. As a result of global competition and the constantly growing demand for new technologies, strategic alliances are becoming popular and important as its goal is to support the competitiveness of the activities concerned.
Many large and medium scale firms are moving towards strategic alliances. Some of the succeeded alliances are the Ford and Chrysler automobile which reduced operational costs dramatically by using alliances and Mobil, Chevron and Amoco.
