Ghana Made Products to receive awards

The 2nd Ghana Made Awards 2014, an initiative of Entrepreneurs Foundation of Ghana (EFG), has nominated a number of outstanding made in Ghana products for honours.

The event is scheduled for Friday, October 24, at the Banquet Hall, State House, Accra, on the theme: “Industrialisation the key Strategy to Accelerated Economic Development and Job Creation.”

It is under the auspices of Ministry of Trade and Industry, Ministry of Finance and Ghana Investment Promotion Centre.

The event is being endorsed and sponsored by Ghana Standards Authority, Export Trade, Agricultural and Industrial Development Fund, Ghana Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Private Enterprise Federation, Business and Financial Times, Joy FM and Multi TV.

A statement issued in Accra at the weekend, by Mr Sam Ato Gaisie, Founder and President of EFG, said the award seeks to celebrate some of the pride of Ghanaian indigenous and multinational products from the manufacturing industries.

It also aims at exposing the products to Ghanaians throughout the country by promoting, creating awareness and building product loyalty to meet the challenges of domestic and international markets.

Award winning products would be reckoned as champions of excellence and quality products in Ghana.

The product categories include: Industrialist of the Year, Distribution outlet of the Year, Retail outlet of the Year, Overall best Product of the Year, Lifetime Product and Service, Indigenous Product, Emerging Product, Innovative Product, Natural Fruit Juice, Natural Mineral Water, Food& Beverages and Building Construction Product.

Others are, Pharmaceuticals, Herbal Products ,Rubber and Plastics Products ,Alcoholic, Spring Mattress, Toiletries and Cosmetics, Wood Furniture products, Aluminum Product, Electrical Product, Tissue & Paper Product, Financial Product, Commercial Auto Loan, Newspaper, Business & Finance Magazine and TV Program of the Year.
