Ghana To Get Silicon Valley

EC TECH has announced plans to set up a 'Silicon Valley' in the Ashanti Region of Ghana to produce computers at the lowest possible cost thus flooding the market with good quality computers at affordable price for all and sundry.

The African Silicon Valley - Information Technology (IT) Industrial Park will house Ghana's largest Computer Assembling Factory. Apart from the provision of a solid IT infrastructure, the valley will also become an E-Commerce hub for West African countries, providing information technology and communication services to both the public and private sectors in the sub-region.

The structure of the computer assembly plant will be made up of initial computer assembly line set-up and warehouse for computers and parts. The valley will also house an ultra modern IT training facilities, providing world class training at very competitive price. EC TECH Ghana Limited is an American joint- venture computer enterprise established in Ghana in particular and West Africa as a whole.

EC TECH hopes to specialise in the development and promoting skill sets that are vital in setting and maintaining the highest level of expertise and proficiency in West Africa's IT industry. EC TECH hopes to reach out to other West African countries by establishing similar Silicon Valleys in Senegal and Nigeria.
