Ghana and Trinidad and Tobago have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for an Air Services Agreement to institute a direct flight length between Ghana and the Caribbean.

This is according to a post by the Ministry of Communications for Trinidad and Tobago via Twitter after a delegation met with Aviation Minister, Joseph Kofi Adda, on Sunday, March 8, 2020, in Accra.

Dr. Keith Rowley in a statement via Facebook said that after a brief meeting between the Minister of Public Utilities, Robert Le Hunte of Tobago and Ghana’s Aviation Minister, Kofi Adda, both countries have signed an Air Services Agreement Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

“This is for both countries to work together and take the next step towards establishing a Mutual Air Services Agreement,” the statement ended.

The Prime Minister was optimistic that the agreement, when fully functional, will institute a direct flight system between Ghana and Trinidad and Tobago in a bid to strengthen economic impact with growth and investments for recreational purposes.

Dr. Keith Rowley was last week invited to Ghana and was the special guest of honour at the 63rd Independence Day celebrations in Kumasi.
