Ghana car rental industry set to attain international standards

Accra Aug. 19, GNA - The Ghana Car Rentals Association has set new standards of operation to enable the industry to attain international standards.

The Association has therefore started organizing training programmes for its members and other partners in the tourism industry to improve on their standards, Mr David Nana Anim, President of the Car Rentals Association of Ghana (CRAG), told the Ghana News Agency in an interview on Friday.

Mr Anim said in October members of the Association would go on a study tour of Thailand through South Africa to familiarize themselves with their tourism industries.

"The Ghana Car Rentals Association hopes to establish a long lasting relationship with the two countries for exchange programmes." CRAG is also educating its members on how to lease vehicles for rental and to prepare business plans on their own. Mr Anim urged the members to organize frequent local tours to help promote domestic tourism.
