Ghana gets first Ginseng formulated energy drink

The first ginseng formulated energy drink - Bacchus Energy Drink – has been launched in Ghana.

Bacchus Energy Drink is a premium non-alcoholic beverage produced in Korea. Its other ingredients include taurine, royal jelly, multi-vitamin B complex, inositol, and apple juice.

The Ginseng content helps to regulate body metabolism for a healthier living and has no known side effect. The natural drink has been certified by the Food and Drugs Authority.

The energy drink has existed in Korea for the past 81 years. It is the most consumed energy product across Asia and ranked the best in the region.

Speaking at the launch of the drink, the Korean ambassador to Ghana Yeo Woon-Gi said the embassy aims to help Bragha Ghana Limited make the energy drink popular in Ghana.

“It is our strategic objective to make Bacchus a household name, and the ultimate choice of non-alcoholic beverage in Ghana. Bacchus Energy Drink is already in shops, supermarkets, bars, and the various University campuses,” Woon-Gi noted.

Bragha Ghana Limited is the sole representative of Bacchus Energy Drink in Ghana. The drink was launched at a special occasion to outdoor Jane Awindor popularly known as Efya’s debut album, ‘Janesis. The album features renowned African artistes like Stonebwoy, E.L, Ice Prince and many others.
