ACCRA, Oct 4 (Reuters) - The Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) closed flat on Monday in a thin trading session with no price movement on the board, according to the official market report.
The all-share index was stuck at Friday's close of 763.35, leaving it still down 12.09 percent on the year.
Volume fell to 822,160 shares, worth 338.54 million cedis ($117,549), down from 2,068,700 shares, worth 2,113.07 billion cedis ($744,039) last Friday.
British American Tobacco (BAT.GH) was the most active stock, accounting for nearly all the volume as the entire block of 818,200 shares on offer was snapped up at 400 cedis each. There were no immediate details on the parties in the transaction.
Accra Breweries (ABL.GH) traded 2,800 shares at 398 cedis, while Ashanti Goldfields (AGC.GH) traded 460 shares at 18,700 cedis.
