Ghana to expand economic relations with Int'l partners - Mahama

President John Dramani Mahama says Ghana under his leadership will concentrate on expanding and improving technical and economic relations with international and local partners.

According to the President, Ghana values the financial and technical support it receives from all its partners and so will continue to strengthen ties with those partners.

President Mahama made the comments when he received the credentials of the new Italian and German Ambassadors at the Castle on Tuesday.

“The atmosphere and the environment exist for us to continue to expand the bilateral cooperation between and Ghana and Italy.

“I also note your assistance to the Kofi Annan International Peace Keeping Training centre and the technical support for Peace Keeping training, as you know Ghana is one of the major peace keeping countries in the World and we are very proud of the technical cooperation that exist between us and Italy to improve training in Peace Keeping” President Mahama said.

For her part the new Italian Ambassador Laura Carpini commended Ghana for a peaceful election and promised to work hard to deepen the relationship that exist between the two countries.
