Accra, Sept. 2, GNA - Vice President John Dramani Mahama on Thursday said government welcomed all genuine investors that would contribute to the economic growth of the country.
He said what government averse to was investors, who would become charlatans. He added that activities of such investors would have to be investigated in order not send negative signals to the world community.
Vice President Mahama was speaking when Mr Nils S. Anderson, Partner and Group Chief Executive Officer of A.P. Moller - Maersk A/S, called on him at the Castle, Osu, to discuss the company's potential in promoting Ghana's economy.
Mr Anderson said the company was exploring possibilities of expanding the Tema and Takoradi harbours.
He underlined the company's ability of drilling and lifting of Ghana's oil.
Mr Anderson said the company was prepared to establish project groups to develop Ghana's infrastructure including rail lines and dry-docks.
He said the Danish company established in 1904, undertakes tankers, offshore and other shipping activities.
It also engages in floating production storage, offloading, jack-up based production units; salvage and towage activities as well as door-to-door transport and inter-European freight and passenger transport.
