Government has been asked to fast-track the implementation of its promise to build a harbour in the Keta area.

The Chairman of the Anlo Afiadenyigba Youth Development Association, Ashford Goku said the proposed project is the answer to the many developmental challenges that has bedeviled the area over the years.

The project according to him has prospects of giving meaningful jobs to the teaming youth.

Mr. Goku was speaking at a durbar at Anlo Afiadenyigba to formally introduce Togbui Amegashie Afeku to the chiefs and people as the new divisional chief of Keta.

The role of chiefs and traditional leaders in galvanising their people particularly in rural communities towards development without losing their cultural values cannot be over emphasised in modern day Ghana.

Most development oriented Chiefs undoubtedly helped shape the future of their subjects and communities by recognising the diversity in their communities and uniting them for economic and social development.

In this regard, the kingmakers of Anlo Afiadenyigba have successfully installed and introduced a youthful Togbui Amegashie Afeku, known in private life as Michael Dogbeda Amegashie as the Divisional chief of Keta.

Speaking at the colourful event, the Chairman of the Anlo Afiadenyigba Youth Development Association, Ashford Goku believes Torgbui Amegashie Afeku will bring his youthful exuberance to bear in championing the growth of the area.

He appealed to the Keta Municipal Assembly to revive its plans of establishing a weaving industry in Afiadenyigba Township
