The global president of Groupe Nduom, Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, has stated that the government of Ghana owes him over GH¢7.1 billion.

According to him, this was an indisputable fact, noting that the amount owed to him included interest.

During a press briefing held in Accra, Dr. Nduom stated, “Per our arithmetic, we are owed more than GH¢7.1 billion, including interests… They know they owe, and they can argue about interests; they can argue about that.”

Dr. Nduom also announced his decision to suspend the "Bring Back GN Bank" campaign in September.

This decision was made in order to conduct a nationwide tour of the 300 branches of the defunct bank. The purpose of this tour is to gather support from petitioners who are advocating for the restoration of GN Bank's license, which was revoked in 2019.

He mentioned that he plans to resume his campaign in November, after a period of strategic planning and reflection.
