Governor of Bank of China Visits Bank of Ghana

The visit of the governor of the People's Bank of China, Dr Zhou Xiaochang has opened a positive and wider implication for cooperation between china and Ghana.

The visit creates opportunity for building and strength collaborations between the bank of Ghana and the People's Bank of China.

Dr. Xiaochang on Monday held discussions with the governor of bank of Ghana, Dr. Paul A. Acquah. The two governors discuss Ghana - china economic relations with a focus on trade, investment and business opportunities, macroeconomic developments in the two countries in the context of international economic cooperation, the financial sector and the outlook for the medium term.

The discussions touched on the issue of market access for developing countries and developments on sub- regional efforts to create a monetary union.

The governor of peoples bank of China also met with a cross section of the Ghanaian business community.
