Grand Sales to co-locate Made-in-Ghana fair from Sept 25

The Ghana Trade Fair Company Limited (GTFCL) has said this year’s Grand Sale would be co-located with the Made-in-Ghana fair from September 25 to October 5, 2014 at the Trade fair centre.

The co-location seeks to bring significant improvement in the organisation of the event, making it more exceptional and exciting. The Grand Sale 2014 is excepted to attract exhibitors both locally and internationally with a number of activities lined up including health walk and screening, musical concert and eating competition among others.

Mr Emmanuel Adamitey, a Consultant at GTFCL, speaking at the maiden edition of time with industry players said the 4th edition of the event would see the Melcom Group participating. He said the initiative was in support of the President’s vision to promote Made-in-Ghana goods.

Mr Adamitey said Pavilion ‘B’ will house the Grand Sale event, while mobile pavilions will be designated for the Made-in-Ghana fair. Brigadier General Daniel Kattah, Security Coordinator, GTFCL said the event; “Time with Industry Players” was to recognised companies, individuals who have partnered and supported the company throughout all these years.

He said the company decided to re-brand the company and this event was one of the steps to bring partners together to deliberate on the improvement on future fairs. Ms Hannah Amoateng, Chairperson of the Board of GTFCL said the company was poised to continue to partner stakeholders in the organisation of event to attract investors to boost the economy.

She said a well-position trade fair company would create a platform for businesses to showcase their business in line with government’s desire to provide an enabling environment for business growth.

Ms Amoateng said the mandate of the newly board of directors of the company was to transform and improve on the existing facilities to promote business in the country. She expressed the hope that corporate institutions and other partners would support the company to build a world-class facility to promote business growth.

The GTFCL used the opportunity to acknowledge companies including Association of Ghana Industries, Baron water house, Home Base TV, Tecno, T.T Brothers, Live FM, Choice FM, Midland Saving and Loans, Multimedia, ECG among others.
