Graphic promises better packages for advertisers

Accra, March 27, GNA - Graphic Communications Group Limited on Friday held its 2003 Advertisers Award Dinner, promising better credit and discounts in the coming years to loyal agencies.

"Advertising agencies and companies that will do business to the tune of 1.2 billion cedis and above annually will attract a discount of five per cent, Mr Berifi Apenteng, Managing Director of the company announced.

He said agencies that facilitate prompt payment would be entitled to similar discounts in the ensuing years.

Mr Apenteng said the current proliferation of media organisations demanded that the Group reposition itself to enable it meet the emerging challenges. "One way we can do this is to continuously meet the needs of our valued and loyal clients".

He announced that the organisation would soon launch an additional weekly newspaper that would meet the growing socio-economic demands of the society.

Mr Tim Acquah Hayford, President of Advertisers Association of Ghana (AAG), expressed appreciation to the Graphic Group for its incentive packages and suggested that non-members of AAG should not be made to enjoy rebates in the future.

This, he held, would greatly motivate sales and also create goodwill for the company.

Two categories of awards, as well as certificates and plagues were given to eleven companies.

The plagues award, dubbed the "Ultimate Award" went to Nitrak Agency for being the best promising company, Media Plus, loyal customer, Origin 8 for innovation, Admedia FCB for prompt payment and STB McCann for colour and volume.

The certificates awards went to Vivid Marketing System, Lintas Ghana Limited, Ads Limited, and MMRS Ogilvy Company.
