HFC loss pulls down bourse again

Accra, April 15, GNA - The Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) plunged again in trading on Friday, dragged down by a big loss in the share price of the Home Finance Company (HFC).

HFC, the sole equity that saw a price movement, was down by 740 cedis at 7,000 cedis and change for the year was deeper in the red at negative 6.93 per cent.

The GSE All-Share Index, the main stock index, lost 27.15 points at 6,327.72 points.

Shares traded were down at 606,900 from 698,000 on Wednesday. Market capitalisation was also down at 96,320.35 billion cedis from 96,394.47 billion cedis on Wednesday from 3,663.51 million issued shares.
