Hassan Ayariga promises bi-weekly pay and minimum salary increase to GH¢5,000 for Ghanaians

The Presidential Candidate for the All People's Congress, Dr. Hassan Ayariga, has stated that if elected into power, his party will implement a 24-hour economy to increase the labour force of the economy.

He mentioned plans to change the country’s salary structure from monthly payments to weekly payments. Additionally, he intends to raise the current minimum wage and ensure that public salaries start at GH¢5,000.

In a video posted by GHOne TV on X, Ayariga said, “I will change the salary structure to be bi-weekly. Ghanaians will be paid every two weeks under my government, no more monthly salary.”

“I plan to increase the minimum wage from GH¢18.99 to between GH¢150 and GH¢300, and raise the monthly wage from GH¢1000 to GH¢5000,” he added.
